Waru Kidul, Wiradesa – Ribuan warga di Kabupaten Pekalongan Jawa Tengah mengikuti lomba memancing ikan lele, uniknya lomba digelar bukan di tempat pemancingan, melainkan di slauran irigasi dekat dengan persawahan.
Sekitar 200 warga pecinta mancing mania dari berbagai wilayah memadati saluran irigasi di Desa Waru Kidul Wiradesa Kabupaten Pekalongan, dalam lomba kali ini panitia telah menaburkan sebanyak 1,2 kuintal ikan lele jumbo yang siap dipancing.
Tidak hanya orang tua, lomba mancing ini juga diikuti oleh anak-anak. keseruan muncul apabila peserta lomba mendapatkan ikan yang berpita di bagian sirip, pasalnya apabila mendapatkan ikan tersebut perserta lomba berhak mendapatkan hadiah berupa doorprize.
Lomba ini berbeda dari sebelumnya, karena panitia menerapkan jaga jarak, peserta juga diwajibkan memakai masker, meski diakui banyak yang bandel. lomba mancing sendiri sebagai ajang silaturahmi warga serta untuk memeriahkan hut ke 75 Republik Indonesia.
Panitia berharap dengan lomba mancing ini dapat memberikan manfaat bagi masyarakat Kabupaten Pekalongan dan sekitarnya terutama di masa pandemi covid-19.(4son)
