Kala itu Ashraff beserta rombongan Bapera keliling untuk melihat situasi pasar malam Gemek, dirinya tertarik dengan pedagang “harum manis”, sejenis makanan ringan menyerupai kapas dengan bahan dasar gula pasir. Disaat Ashraff berbincang dengan pedagang harum manis itulah, dirinya memborong jajanan harum manis dan dibagikan kepada pengunjung pasar malan Gemek.
Posisi Ashraff yang tepat berada di depan lapak pedagang mengundang perhatian semua orang yang melintas dan seolah-olah, ketua DPD Bapera seperti sedang berjualan harum manis. Masyarakat yang penasaran langsung mendekat dan berusaha mendapatkan harum manis yang diborong olehnya. Kurang dari lima menit, dagangan harum manis ludes diburu warga. Tak sedikit warga bersalaman dan mengucapkan terima kasih telah mendapatkan oleh-oleh yang menjadi jajanan khas setiap ada pasar malam.
Kedatangan suami Bupati Pekalongan ini memang cukup menjadi perhatian para pengunjung pasar malam yang digelar sebulan penuh selama bulan Ramadhan. Ashraff sengaja menyempatkan waktu untuk melihat situasi pasar malam di komplek Gemek Kedungwuni ini, sehingga kedepan dapat dijadikan bahan evaluasi untuk penataan pasar malam yang lebih baik.
Ashraff mengatakan, dirinya ingin memastikan pasar malam Gemek keamanannya bagus, termasuk segala fasilitas penunjang lainnya, termasuk menyerap aspirasi kebutuhan para pedagang sehingga dapat disampaikan ke Bupati atau pihak terkait.
Ditanyai mengenai wacana penataan pasar malam Gemek, lanjut Ashraff, saat ini dirinya bersama Bapera mengendalikan keamanannya sehingga para pedagang merasa nyaman berjualan.
Dirinya juga akan mengusulkan kepada Bupati untuk menambah lampu penerangan, penataan fasilitas parkir, lapak pedagang yang permanen sehingga para pelaku UMKM nampak teratur dalam menjajakan dagangannya.
Dari hasil pembicaraan dengan para pedagang, Ashraff mengungkapkan, dirinya merasa bersyukur, rata-rata para pedagang merasa senang masa pandemi telah berlalu sehingga perekonomian saat ini sudah mulai tumbuh dan pulih kembali.
